The Life & Times of Hollywood – About

The Life and Times of Hollywood looks at classic films, vintage television programs along with the performers, creators and pioneers of the entertainment industry.

The authors of books such as The Life and Times.of Mickey Rooney, Dr. Feelgood, and the upcoming Beyond Columbo: The Life and Times of Peter Falk, Poverty Row and The Life and Times of Bob Cummings-  are the writers of this blog. Our goal is to post daily stories that is based on our research which will try to enlighten our readers about the history of the entertainment industry. 

We will attempt to explore the true facts behind the stories of the great stars and the studio system that help create them, along with the pioneers of television and the entertainment industry.

Many of the stories will be from the books and archives of authors Richard A. Lertzman and William J. Birnes that will include their interviews with some of the icons of Hollywood.

If you are a film and television buff, an historian or an avid reader- this blog will also bring you the behind the scenes detail that will include articles to support the stories.
