This is a fascinating interview of Eddie Albert in 2001, He was in the throes of Alzheimer’s disease, but was lucid in many ways.

Many remember Eddie Albert as the star (with Eva Gabor) of Green Acres, however, he had a long and distinguished career that started in the 1930 on stage and film.

The interview was lovingly conducted by his son, the late Edward Albert, Jr. (Butterflies Are Free). It offers a wonderful look at age and the beautiful relationship that existed between the father and son. It allows the viewer to hear some of Eddie’s great memories of Woody Guthrie and his  life that extended through the twentieth century.

It really is a fascinating look at Eddie and Edward. Eddie Albert passed on in 2005 at 99 years old and sadly Edward died the next year at just 55.
