THE THREE HOWARD BROTHERS AND FINE
In 1947- this is the attempt to return to work by Jerry “Curly” Howard after his serious stroke that eventually led to his untimely death. Here he is, in an uncredited part of a sleeping train passenger (doing his familiar snore and bark) with Larry Fine and his older brothers- Moe and Shemp Howard.
The short was “Hold That Lion” in 1947. Curly would try a cameo in another short as a cook, but his career was over. A sad end to a legendary comic
Very sad! I grew up watching The Three Stooges on TV, and Curly was always my favorite.
